family skills
When (re)entering a profession, in addition to the degree and theoretical knowledge, soft skills such as flexibility, conflict resolution skills or good communication now play an increasingly important role, which can also be acquired informally.
Such skills are acquired and trained outside of work, for example, through raising children or caring for someone in need of care. These gained and strengthened family skills can then be transferred to the workplace, where they can lead to better employees and managers. This offers both employers and employees new opportunities to use the "interruption" to everyone's advantage and to see it less as a "gap" and more as an opportunity for further training.
