KIT students with child(ren) have the opportunity to register their children in both institutions of the Studierendenwerk.

Nearby the campus south there is the Kita „Blumenland“. It offers about 60 places for children between 1-6 years. Nearby the campus west the Kita „Sternschnuppe“offers about 20 places for children between 2-6 years.

You can find some more information on the website of the Studierendenwerk. There you will find a list  that shows more childcare facilities in Karlsruhe and Pforzheim.

The AStA  website provides detailed information on care facilities, too. Here you will find all the important information about the childcare “Krone” of the AWO as well as the childcare “Kinderkiste”. Both institutions are existing for ten years by now.

Doctorate parents at KIT do have the opportunity to use the KIT nursery which offers childcare places for KIT employees. Here you can read more about it.
